Requirements specific to Nurses in Rhode Island

Required Courses: 1

  • All Rhode Island nurses are required to complete 10 hours of CE to renew a license
  • APRNs are required to complete 30 hours of CE related to Pharmacology every 6 years

Rhode Island nursing licenses expire on March 1 each year. Licensees due for renewal will receive a notification 60 days before the renewal deadline.
