New Mexico State NursingCE Requirements

New Mexico Registered Nurse (RN) CE Requirements

You are required to complete 30 CE hours every two years.

New Mexico Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) CE Requirements

You are required to complete 30 CE hours within the 24 months immediately preceding expiration of license.

New Mexico Nurse Practitioner (NP) CE Requirements

You are required to complete 30 CE hours every two years for your RN licensure, plus 20 more CE hours for CNP/CNS license. If you hold a federal drug enforcement administration registration and licensure to prescribe opiods, you are required to complete 15 CE hours in pharmacology, 5 of which must be in non-cancer pain management.
